Knitting in two generations

Rusted Root completed

Dear Mum,

I managed to finish Rusted Root yesterday and guess what...it fits!!! This really boosts my knitting confidence and maybe, just maybe, the knitting crisis is over :o)

Knitting Crisis

Dear Mum,

WELCOME to Copenhagen!!!

Nearly 2 weeks has passed since you moved over here - are you enjoying it so far? I'm still amazed that you and Dad managed to get settled in in less than 24 hours.

I'm having a knitting crisis. I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere - but it might have something to do with the lack of interest in knitting I've been experiencing lately. Yesterday I forced myself to work on Rusted Root and I'm nearly done with it, but still it gets me depressed - I'm 99,9 % sure that it won't fit...how come I can't manage to knit shirts???? Am I just destined to only knit socks, shawls and bags???

The other day, my mum tried to teach me how to crochet...I really would love to make a ripple stitch blanket like the ones everybody is making at the moment. If you have an idea to a ripple stitch pattern...please don't hesitate to let me know :o)

Beside my knitting crisis and helping moving my parents 250 km, Daniel and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary on the 11th of August. We went to a restaurant called La Rocca (I've mentioned it before) and had a great evening. Neither of us can really believe that it has already been a year :o)

Dear Mom,

Turning 26 is really not that fun. The countdown towards 30 has begun for real!! Well, I guess I just have to get over it ;o)

I just wanted to share my presents with you...I'm really lucky! And I also want to thank you and Dad for the gift certificate...Amazon shipped the things I've chosen yesterday :o)

From Daniel I got a book - Camilla Läckberg "Stenhuggeren" and the 3rd season of the Simpsons

From Daniels parents I also got a book and a Cow Parade cow

From Daniels grandparents I got a gift certificate which I exchanged to "the Barnyard" and season 7 of the Simpsons

From Mette I got a great body lotion from Biotherm and from Marianne & Charlotte I got a set of underwear from Change

I also got two books from my Uncle, Aunt and cousins :o)

Thank you sooooooo much everybody - I love my gifts :o)

And to those of you wondering where the fibre related gifts are...well, I went through my stash some weeks ago and I was surprised to see how much yarn I've actually got...better use some of it before I get any more.

It's really too hot to do anything today. So Daniel and I are just relaxing at home...we were planning to go to the Tivoli Gardens, but we decided that the heat would be too much.
